Jaké novinky přináší dotace v roce 2025?

Each new round of subsidy titles changes a bit. Ministries adjust terms, Amount of aid in administrative complexity so that the challenges better correspond to the current market development, Technological possibilities in the needs of the applicants. 2025 is no exception. It introduces several key changes that can decide whether you will be successful in applying for a subsidy. It is worth paying attention to them already at the preparatory stage, even if you have applied for a subsidy in the past.

1. Základní parametry

‍Kdo může získat podporu?

Subsidies for photovoltaic power plants and accumulation It's not just for big players. Both companies that want to reduce energy costs and cities and municipalities looking for ways to upgrade public buildings and better manage their budgets can apply.

Private sector

This category includes companies, entrepreneurs and other commercial entities that want to invest in their own energy production. Subsidies are intended for:

  • Legal and natural persons doing business in the energy sector
  • Existing or future licensees for electricity generation
  • Also Applicants without a licenseif they demonstrate that the operation of the power plant is contracted by another licensed entity

Public sector

Public bodies have increasing opportunities in the field of photovoltaics, in particular through the support of energy communities and the renovation of public buildings. Eligible applicants include:

  • Municipalities, cities, regions, urban districts, associations of municipalities
  • Organizational components of the state and contributory organizations
  • Schools, educational legal entities, hospitals, libraries
  • Public research institutions and universities
  • Churches and their legal entities, associations, constitutions, public benefit societies
  • Enterprises owned by a public entity (e.g. municipal companies)

Na co všechno se dá získat dotace?

Today, subsidies for photovoltaics do not apply only to the panels themselves. Modern challenges are also supported by related technologies and preparatory work, which are crucial for successful implementation. It is thanks to this complexity that companies and public institutions can think strategically. Subsidies can thus be used not only for the power plant itself, but also for software measuring electricity consumption/production.

What can you finance from subsidies?

1. Photovoltaic power plant (FVE)

The basis of the project. The subsidy covers the panels themselves, inverters, mounting systems, wiring and network connections. It allows the implementation of small and large FVE from 10 kWp up to 5 MWp.

2. Battery Storage (ACU)

The subsidy can also be used for systems for the accumulation of generated electricity. These help to balance the differences between production and consumption and allow more efficient use of the energy produced.

3. Electrolyzers for Hydrogen Production

For advanced projects, the production of green hydrogen by electrolysis of water can also be supported. The subsidies apply to the entire system -- from water treatment to the electrolyzer itself to the storage of the hydrogen produced.

4. Renovation of roofs and wiring

If the roof is in poor condition and its repair is necessary for the installation of FVE, the subsidy can also cover these costs. Modernization of the electrical wiring of buildings can also be supported.

5. Energy management and project preparation

The support may also include the introduction of energy management systems, production and consumption management software, performance measurement, project documentation, technical supervision or OSH.

A klientovi utopené náklady už nic nezachrání. Řešte statiku už při přípravě projektu.

A které náklady tedy dotace pokrývá, a které už ne?

Today, subsidies for photovoltaics are far from covering just the panels themselves. They cover the entire system. From preparation to commissioning. And this is a key advantage. Thanks to this, you can use the subsidy for the entire journey: from the feasibility study through the project documentation to the installation itself and the implementation of smart energy management.

✅ What is a deductible expense?

In simple terms: everything that makes sense for the successful implementation of the project and corresponds to the conditions of the challenge. These include:

  • Project documentation and connection agreement
  • Procurement documentation (for public contracts)
  • Construction work and technology (e.g. FVE, batteries, converters)
  • Wiring and Roofing Modifications
  • Implementation of energy management and monitoring of consumption
  • Technical and copyright supervision, OSH
  • Compulsory promotion according to fund rules
  • VAT (if the applicant cannot claim it back)

❌ What subsidies won't support?

On the contrary, support cannot be obtained, for example, for:

  • Purchase of used equipment or real estate
  • Taxes, administrative fees, notaries, deposits in the cadastre, etc.
  • Interest, loan repayments and operating expenses
  • Expenses not directly related to the project

Jaké dokumenty budete potřebovat k administraci?

Careful preparation of documentation significantly speeds up the approval of the application and minimizes the risk of delay. If you have all the documents in order, the whole process can go smoothly and within the statutory time limits. What are the documents for applying for a subsidy most often required?

  • Contract about connecting to the network
  • Proof on the initiation of construction proceedings
  • Documents on the legal relationship to the property
  • Accounting documents and statements

U některých výzev rozhodují i jednotlivé dny. V PKV vás včas upozorníme, co a kdy bude potřeba.

Kolik musím mít z fotovoltaiky vlastní spotřebu?

Setting up your own consumption is key. It's not just a technical parameter. Without meeting the conditions of self-consumption, they simply will not give you a subsidy. Each challenge has slightly different rules, and this is where bread is often broken. Those who make high-quality preparation at the beginning will pass the subsidy smoothly.

Výzva Podmínka vlastní spotřeby

RES+ č. 1/2025

Musí být zajištěna určitá míra vlastní spotřeby. Do sítě můžete pouštět maximálně 30 % instalovaného výkonu fotovoltaiky do 1 MWp a 20 % u fotovoltaiky s výkonem nad 1 MWp.

  • Vypočítáme roční spotřebu budovy a simulujeme různé scénáře
  • Zohledníme sezónní výkyvy a energetické profily provozu
Díky tomu splníte podmínky výzvy a získáte maximální možnou podporu. Bez rizika, že projekt skončí zamítnutím kvůli špatnému nastavení.
TIP: Většina dotačních výzev podporuje maximální využití energie ve vlastní spotřebě. Tomu pomůže chytré řešení s akumulací. Díky akumulaci přebytečnou elektřinu nepouštíte do sítě, ale využíváte chytře. Díky softwaru pro řízení nabíjení a vybíjení se vám zvýší efektivita a zrychlí návratnost projektu. Zjistěte víc o akumulaci a flexibilitě.

Často kladené dotazy

1. Can a photovoltaic subsidy be combined with a loan?

Yes, but not with interest-free loan from the National Development Bank for the same project.

2. How big does self-consumption have to be?

Call # 1 — max. 30% to the network, challenge # 2 — min. 80% self-consumption

3. Can we apply for an older photovoltaic project as well?

Usually not -- the cost must be eligible from the date specified in the invitation.

4. Who will help us prepare?

We recommend reaching out Energy Consultant or a firm that has experience with projects funded by Modernization Fund.

5. How quickly do I need to implement the project after receiving the grant?

This depends on the specific challenge — you usually have 2 to 5 years to implement from the decision to grant aid.

6. Is it possible to withdraw funds gradually, or only after the completion of the project?

As a rule, the subsidy is paid retroactively after proof of implementation and fulfilment of all conditions. Continuous drawdown (so-called advance payment) is exceptional and subject to individual approval.

7th. Can I combine a subsidy for photovoltaics with other types of public support?

Not always.Combining with another public aid for the same expense is often not possible, but it is possible to have other subsidies in parallel for other parts of the project (e.g. FVE+electromobility).

8. What if I do not achieve the required self-consumption?

Failure to comply with this condition may lead to Reduction of the subsidy, or to its part/incomplete reimbursement. Therefore, it is a good idea to realistically plan the consumption and document it in the energy assessment.

9. What are the most common mistakes when applying?
  • Missing or out-of-date documentation (e.g. connection agreement, building permit)
  • An inadequately described way of using energy
  • Unclear budget structure
  • Filing outside the deadline or without electronic signature

10. Can I apply for FVE located outside the company premises?

Yes, but only if the output of the project (electricity) will be consumed in your company and you comply with the conditionsdirect consumption and connection.

11. Who controls the use of the subsidy and how?

Inspection is carried out by the competent authorities — most often State Environmental Fund (SFZP). Firms must archive all documents andallow physical inspection of the construction as well as accounting records.

12. What does the term “eligible expenditure” mean?

This is a cost that can be recognized as part of the subsidy — e.g. purchase of technology, assembly, project documentation. Expenses outside the list of eligible items (e.g. marketing, operating expenses) cannot be claimed.

I'm 13. What is project sustainability?

The time it takes for the technology to be functional and serve its purpose — typically 5 years. During this period, there must be no sale of equipment or a major change of ownership.

He's 14. How is the subsidy amount calculated?

Usually a percentage of “eligible expenditure” -- not total investment. It is important to have accurate calculations and budget statement according to the structure of the challenge.

Tipy na závěr

1. Start before your challenge opens

RES+ Challenge #2 is so far in preparation, but projects above 1 MWp require longer planning. Don't wait for the official launch, prepare the technical documentation, budget and clarify ownership relationships now. The same applies to RES+ calls 1 and 5. Time is your competitive advantage. With a timely start to the project, you will be able to reach a short grant window and you will not have to wait for uncertain future grant titles.

You can start today. We will prepare a whole photovoltaic project for you.

2. Focus on self-consumption

Most challenges require you at least 70-80% of the electricity generated from the FVE consumed. This condition is crucial for obtaining the subsidy as well as its disbursement. Take advantage energy audit or monitoring consumptionso that you have hard data on energy consumption and its evolution over the course of the year.

3. Documentation is half the success

Focus on providing all the necessary documents in a timely manner when applying. This may be, for example:

  • Hookup agreement
  • Proof of construction management
  • Accurate budget statements
  • Technical data sheets of equipment
  • Test reports

Without this documentation It will not be possible to obtain financing. And each mistake increases the time when the money will be paid to you.

Do you want someone to guide you through the entire grant process? We're here for you!

4. Do not forget about the reserve in the budget

Subsidies do not cover 100% of costs. Most challenges provide a maximum of 30 to 60% of eligible expenses. You have to cover the rest from your own or external sources. Be prepared for costs that are not eligible — e.g. legal services, certain types of equipment, operating expenses.

5. Get advice from experts

Subsidy applications can be complex and every detail decides success. If you are not sure how to properly set consumption, prepare documentation or quantify support, Get advice from experienced consultants.

We will help you with the preparation of documents, application submission and communication with SFŽP. Thanks to this, you will not waste time or money on unnecessary mistakes.
