The output is a report on the inspection of the heating system, which contains an assessment of efficiency, technical condition, ventilation, automation and control system, and suggestions for optimizing or modifying the system. The document serves to substantiate the legal obligation and can be the basis for state energy inspection, reconstruction planning or subsidy projects. The report is compiled to make it clear to building managers, SVJ committees as well as investment planners.

PENB (Building Energy Performance Certificate) assesses the overall efficiency and the energy intensity of the building as a whole, that is, how it can use it economically warmth and maintain Confort for users. KSV (Heating System Control) focuses specifically on the technical condition, efficiency of the heating system and possibilities savings costs. Both services have different purposes and arise from different legislative obligations. PENB is mandatory when selling, renting or approving a building, while KSV is a regular inspection for buildings with higher boiler or system performance. As part of KSV, we often check the condition of the equipment in the same way as in Boiler servicing, including checks that may recall revision of solid fuel boiler. Customers often ask us how much does it cost to overhaul the boiler — within KSV we are able to give them not only an accurate answer, but also recommendations on how to extend the service life and improve the efficiency of the entire heating system.

Checking the heating system and checking the air conditioning are mandatory every 5 years for buildings where the boiler, air conditioning or heating system exceeds the rated power of 70 kW. The obligation applies, for example, to apartment buildings, public buildings, schools or commercial buildings. Building owners should observe this deadline and regularly update the status of their heating and cooling systems.

Inspection of the heating system can only be carried out by a qualified person with the appropriate authorization in accordance with Decree No. 38/2022 Coll. In PKV, inspections are carried out by certified technicians with the connection of energy specialists, which ensures a professional level of outputs.
